Waratah Cottage

Waratah Cottage is a most delightful place for a family or small-group stay, with flocks of visiting birds — rosellas, several varieties of finches, black cockatoos and sometimes even gang-gang cockatoos.

Children (and adults) love feeding the birds (seed is provided in the cottage), and occasionally spotting the wallabies (there is a colony nearby, but they are very shy).

Waratah has a wonderful warm wood fire, a flued gas heater in the downstairs bedroom, charming loft style upper bedroom (warm in winter!), paved outdoor eating area, barbeque and a very beautiful bush setting.

Waratah is a delightful home for a family or small group. The cottage sleeps up to 7 (max. 6 adults) in one queen, one double bed, two singles (double bunk) and a roomy (double sized) sofa bed in the living area. Waratah is best cottage for families with children, and you can save a little extra by bringing your own linen (see pricing page).

AND, Waratah Cottage has the best access to our Kid’s Cottage – the world’s most wonderful cubby! Just sit back, unfurl the paper and keep an eye on the kids from the front verandah. The Kid’s Cottage has been specially built for our young guests to play in, it’s room sized, and has high ceilings (so that adults can enjoy it as well, if you have to!). Toys, games, kid’s size furniture all provided – including verandah seating. The most magical place!
